Gospel musician, Celestine Donkor has said all is set for the third edition of the annual Celestial Praize concert and it will come off on May 26 at the Royal House Chapel (Ahenfie).
The event brings together some of gospel music’s biggest names under one roof to praise and worship God, and raise funds for charitable initiatives.
This year, the concert is joining forces with the MA Love Foundation founded by Pastor Mike Nii Abossey, presenter of Joy Time in His Presence and A Walk with Jesus on Joy FM.
MA Love Foundation is a non-governmental organisation with the core aim of saving the lives of children and also redirecting their future towards self-sufficiency. It provides medical equipment and support programmes for children hospitals and wards across the country.
Celestine Donkor told Myjoyonline.com in an interview that: “Fans should expect a lot of surprises because it’s going to be different from what they’ve seen before.”
According to the Supernatural hit singer, the over 2,500 patrons who will throng the venue for the event should expect exciting performances from some of the country’s finest gospel artistes.
Some of the artistes billed for the event this year include, the 2013 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Gospel Album of the Year winner Cwesi Oteng, OJ, Cynthia McCauley, Uncle Ato, and a special appearance by Lord Kenya who will “share a testimony of how he was transformed.”
There will also be comedy performances from a Nigerian drama troop and recitals from an eight year-old “Little Professor” who has the ability of memorizing things.
Celestine Donkor said she hopes to raise a minimum of GH˘10,000 for her Celestial Praize charity project and the MA Love Foundation.
According to her, patrons who buy products at the event should “have this understanding that you are supporting MA Love Foundation to supply hospital equipment for children throughout the nation. If you do that God will bless you.”
Gates open 4pm prompt and the first 20 patrons who will be on time will receive free video compilation CD from Celestine Donkor.
