Several celebrities have been named by events powerhouse, Empire Entertainment to grace its maiden Colour Blocking party this Friday, February 22.
The event, set for Club Invasion at East Legon will bring together some of the capital’s fashion enthusiasts under one roof for Ghana’s biggest ‘colour block and mismatch’ party.
According to organizers, the theme and name of the event derived from color blocking which is all about placing solid colours next to another. These colours could be bright colours over dull colours.
Colour block trend, with its huge following particularly ladies, since hitting the fashion scene some years ago has retained its glamour on the fashion scene.
The trend which brings out one’s confidence has over time broken several fashion rules including one that said shoes, belts and bags should blend or match.
On the night, the colour blocking skills of several artistes, actors, actresses, entertainment and media personalities, and the general public will be put to the test while they socialize in a party-filled atmosphere.
Some of the personalities named by organizers to grace the event include Yvonne Nelson, Bola Ray, R2Bees, Majid Michel and Guru.
Empire Entertainment sources say the party will be “an eye opener for many in the colour blocking world in this 21st century.”
