In December 2012, Big Brother Africa 2011 winner Karen Igho was allegedly assaulted by a security guard stationed at the Smirnoff party in Lagos.
Karen also claimed that the security guard slapped and pointed a gun at her after demanding money from her at the car park which she refused.
Soon after recounting her ordeal on twitter, she threatened to sue Smirnoff in the sum of N50million naira.
But on Friday, Karen took to twitter to announce that she has dropped the assault charge against Smirnoff and has decided to settle the case out of court.
She tweeted, "settling out of court about my assault case."
Even though some of her aggrieved fans and some human rights activists will not be too happy about this latest development, others have hailed Karen's decision of taking the case away from court.
