Hiplife duo Praye and bubbly actress Nana Ama McBrown have been outdoored as brand ambassadors for new pay television service GOtv.

The musicians and the actress were outdoored at an impressive ceremony to launch the television service onto the Ghanaian market at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra Thursday.

The celebrities, according to MultiChoice Ghana, owners of GOtv, will help consolidate efforts of the company to help push the new digital terrestrial television service to Ghanaians.

Praye, made up of Eugene Baah (Praye Ho-ne-ho) and Steven Fiawoo (Praye Tiatia), have composed a theme song for the television service. They also performed at the launch.

Kingsley Afful, GOtv Business Manager speaking at the launch said “GOtv service was specially created to make available an affordable digital television product for all.”

He added that, “When people think of digital television they immediately imagine it has to be expensive, this is not the case with GOtv, which offers great family entertainment at affordable prices.

“Ghanaians are now set to benefit from easy access to an increased number of digital channels, with enhanced picture and sound quality synonymous with digital television.”

Amongst the numerous channels available to customers on the platform include Africa Magic, BET, Style, CNN, Channel O and E!.

Ghana joins the list of other countries – Zambia, Kenya, Namibia and Nigeria – who have the service.
